Ramses the Great Exhibition

Ramses the Great Exhibition
Source:sunrise promotion Tokyo

The Ramses the Great Exhibition displays 180 items related to Ramses II, who is considered "the greatest king" in Egyptian history, and artifacts from his era. Extremely valuable items will be exhibited, including Ramses II's wooden coffin.

One of the exhibition's attractions is feeling as if you've entered the world of ancient Egypt. Not only can you view the exhibits, but projection mapping creates an ancient Egyptian atmosphere. I visited this exhibition just recently and experienced a strange time filled with both the fear of wandering into unknown territory and curiosity about an unfamiliar world. The VR experience is also recommended as it allows you to experience the ancient Egyptian world even more realistically.

The precious exhibits and experiences available at this exhibition are extremely rare and not something you can easily enjoy anywhere else in the world. This Odaiba Event 2025 will attract a large audience of tourists from around the globe. Don't miss this opportunity!

JOYPOLIS HAPPY EASTER 2025

JOYPOLIS HAPPY EASTER 2025
Source:Tokyo Odaiba.net

Tokyo JOYPOLIS is Japan's largest indoor amusement park where you can enjoy more than 20 attractions, live shows, and arcade games. Many utilize the latest technology, giving it a futuristic atmosphere. My recommendation is that you can enjoy it 100% even on rainy days.

If you're going to visit, I recommend coming during the Easter event. Cute food, sweets, and drinks featuring egg and rabbit motifs will be available. My recommendation is the "Strawberry Bunny Roll Cake," characterized by ears growing from the roll cake.

Another attractive point is the limited-time original goods available during this period. Since you can receive them by participating in attractions and games that even children can easily join, this Odaiba Event 2025 is also recommended for families with children. The audience at this event always includes many tourists looking for uniquely Japanese entertainment experiences.

If You're Visiting Tokyo in Spring, Let a Local Guide Show You Beautiful Cherry Blossom Spots!

When people think of Japanese spring traditions, many probably imagine cherry blossoms. There are numerous famous cherry blossom spots in Tokyo. Here, I'll introduce two recommended tours for spring where you can enjoy both Tokyo sightseeing and cherry blossoms.

3-Hour Tokyo City Highlights Sunset Bike Tour

The 3-Hour Tokyo City Highlights Sunset Bike Tour is a 3-hour bicycle tour of famous spots in Ueno, Asakusa, and Akihabara. It's a packed tour containing everything from traditional Japanese culture and scenery to the latest pop culture and world-famous tourist attractions.

Asakusa and Ueno are also famous for cherry blossoms, with cherry trees planted throughout these areas. While this tour is enjoyable anytime, I like spring the best when you can ride through the gentle weather and cherry blossom showers.

Participate during this beautiful natural season to fully enjoy the beauty of Japan's four seasons! As part of the Odaiba Event 2025 festivities, this tour has been specially enhanced to accommodate more audience members than ever before.

Again, I recommend visiting in spring. Meiji Jingu, Asakusa, and Zojoji Temple, which are set as default destinations on this tour, are all famous places in Tokyo known for their sense of history. DESIGN FESTA is an international art event where anyone can participate with the only condition being that their work is "original." Visitors to this remarkable Odaiba Event 2025 can enjoy art by artists from around the world.

The art forms are diverse, including not only fine art but also fashion, dance, performances, theater, food, and every imaginable type of art gathered at the venue. You can also participate in workshops and create art pieces together with artists.

My favorite section is the Live Paint area. You can observe up close as huge artworks are created on massive wall surfaces over the course of two days. This popular Odaiba Event 2025 has been running since 1975, and in 2024, 260,000 people gathered at the venue over two days.

There's a wide variety of items you can find at Comic Market. Not only fan-created and original doujinshi but also bags, fans, keychains, accessories - the list is endless. What they all have in common is that everyone creates merchandise based on things they love. There are many niche interests too; I've spotted traffic lights and pizza cutters.

You'll also see many people in cosplay. Along with the publications, enjoy watching cosplayers who faithfully recreate Japanese pop culture characters!

Ariake Festival

Ariake Festival
Source:bac.tokyo

One of the features of Japanese summer is the summer festival. Many of you may have seen people wearing yukata (a type of kimono) in anime and manga, visiting food stalls and dancing Bon-odori.

The Ariake Festival is a summer festival that preserves Japan's wonderful traditions and provides an authentic Odaiba Event 2025 experience. You can enjoy food stall items like yakisoba and shaved ice, carry omikoshi (a vehicle for gods, shaped like a small house) in a procession, and enjoy Japanese taiko drum performances.

What I'm most looking forward to is the "Bon-odori." Bon-odori is a traditional Japanese dance performed during festivals, where everyone dances while circling around a central stage. It may look difficult at first glance, but when you look closely, it's just a repetition of simple movements, so please watch those around you and try dancing together.

Kimono shops in town also offer yukata dressing services, so it's recommended to purchase one and have it put on to participate in yukata.

The theme is "Connecting regions, sustainable food and future stories." This event provides a guide to food culture that pursues not only "deliciousness" and "convenience" but also environmental friendliness.

While we introduced the Oktoberfest in our April events as well, it will also be held in Toyosu in September. Here too, you can enjoy German beer, German cuisine that pairs well with beer, and stage performances featuring German music.

For this event, going at night is highly recommended. Toyosu is also famous for its night views, so you can enjoy your meal while admiring the sparkling harbor lights.

Additionally, the first half of the event period can still be quite hot. The beer tastes exceptionally delicious when enjoyed in the cool evening sea breeze.

"Yosakoi" is one of the traditional dances from Kochi Prefecture in Japan, characterized by dancers holding small instruments called "naruko."

Yosakoi is no longer limited to Kochi Prefecture alone; it continues to evolve throughout Japan and worldwide by fusing with new cultures and ideas while maintaining its traditions. At the Odaiba Event 2025, the Dream Yosakoi Festival brings together dancers with yosakoi roots from both within and outside Japan to showcase their performances. The diverse range of dances never gets boring no matter how many teams you watch. Please enjoy yosakoi while experiencing various elements such as coolness, beauty, and power.

SAKANA & JAPAN FESTIVAL in Odaiba

SAKANA & JAPAN FESTIVAL in Odaiba
Source:PR TIMES

The SAKANA & JAPAN FESTIVAL is an event where you can enjoy fish dishes from all over Japan. Japan is an island nation surrounded by sea, and the abundance of marine resources and the deliciousness of fish and fish dishes are among its attractions.

At this event, you can enjoy local fish dishes from across the country, rice dishes, seafood ramen, seafood paella, and other Japanese, Western, and Chinese seafood cuisine.

What you should pay attention to at this event is the seafood from Fukushima Prefecture. Fish caught off the coast of Fukushima, where ocean currents meet, were known for their high quality. However, due to the Great East Japan Earthquake and subsequent reputational damage, catch volumes are still low.

Fukushima fish will definitely impress anyone with their deliciousness. "Eating delicious food" is a form of disaster recovery support that anyone can participate in. Please come and try them.

Notable Odaiba Events in December 2025

Comic Market (Winter)

Comic Market (winter)
Source:Sankei Shimbun

We introduced Comic Market as an August event, but actually this event is held twice a year, in summer and winter. Just like in summer, items packed with various hobbies including doujinshi (self-published works) are distributed.

One of the joys of Comiket is collecting paper bags. When you shop, you might get original designed paper bags that can only be obtained here, so please try to shop actively.

There aren't major differences between summer and winter Comic Market, but in summer, many people gather in the intense heat, and some even collapse from heat stroke. In that respect, the winter Comic Market is easier to participate in, so it's recommended for people attending Comic Market for the first time.

Illumination

Illumination
Source:FASHION PRESS

The signature of winter in Odaiba is the illumination that colors the entire area. Various facilities located in Odaiba, including commercial facilities, accommodations, and entertainment venues, decorate the town with their own unique and colorful illuminations.

I visited several illumination spots in 2024, and the one that impressed me the most was the pure white illumination held at "Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba." While it was a calm space, it shone silver-white, making me feel like I had wandered into a mysterious space. Please go find your favorite illumination.

Since they take place over a wide area, it's also recommended to take a walk to see nearby illuminations after dinner or before bedtime.

Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks

Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks
Source:Wikipedia

While fireworks might largely be associated with summer, they are actually often launched in winter too. In winter, the air is clearer, so the fireworks appear more vivid and colorful than summer fireworks.

The Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks is a winter fireworks staple. On the event day, fireworks are launched from 7 PM. With 1,300 fireworks launched in a 5-minute period, you can enjoy spectacular and dynamic fireworks.

It's recommended to view these fireworks with Rainbow Bridge in the background. Please enjoy the collaboration of vibrant night views and fireworks.

Tokyo can be severely cold, but when everyone looks up at the fireworks under the cold sky, it somehow creates a warm feeling. This year, there will also be fireworks on Christmas Eve, making it perfect for creating special Christmas memories.
