The 1km cherry blossom tunnel becomes magical with nighttime illumination. With support from surrounding office buildings including NIHONBASHI PLAZA, the festival features music performances, traditional arts demonstrations, and food stalls.

Before temporary closure for reconstruction in February 2025, a special exhibition will showcase its history and iconic costumes. Visitors can explore typically restricted areas like the "Lead Actor's Dressing Room" and "VIP Room" recreations.

Ginza's Natural Charm in April

Cherry Blossom Viewing

Japan's spring landscape is synonymous with cherry blossoms painting everything pink. Their ephemeral, mystical presence has been cherished since ancient times.

Downtown Tokyo offers countless cherry blossom viewing spots. We've selected prime locations around the Ginza area where you can fully experience their charm. Whether swaying in warm daylight or illuminated in the urban night, these blossoms offer exceptional beauty.

Hibiya Park Cherry Blossoms

Hibiya Park, established in 1903, was created to be "a modern park befitting Tokyo, the capital of politics, economy, and culture."

As Japan's first Western-style park, it masterfully blends Western cultural influences with Japanese elements. The Grand Fountain Plaza, the park's symbol, is a popular filming location for dramas and movies.

The park features various cherry varieties, primarily Somei Yoshino, along with Mountain Cherry and Weeping Cherry, offering unique urban cherry blossom views amid skyscrapers.

For traditional Japanese atmosphere, we recommend viewing near Kumogata Pond. The pale pink blossoms complemented by fresh green maple buds create a vibrant spring scene.

Hidden Cherry Blossom Spots in Ginza

Ginza Central Street, the main thoroughfare of Ginza, is a tourist mecca in Tokyo. Home to world-renowned luxury brands and historic jewelry stores, it has established itself as a luxury street rivaling New York's Fifth Avenue.

When the cherry blossoms planted along the street bloom simultaneously, the area becomes even more magnificent. At night, the illuminated cherry blossoms blend with Ginza's neon lights, creating an otherworldly beauty.

The Ginza 1-chome area is also a hidden cherry blossom destination. Cherry trees quietly bloom in small parks and between commercial buildings. Particularly at dusk, they create a stunning harmony with the red-tinged sky.

After the pale pink Someiyoshino cherry blossoms paint the entire district, the vibrant Yaezakura follows with its full blooms, bringing Ginza's spring to its peak.
