While preserving inherited traditions, Kabuki incorporates contemporary elements. One fascinating aspect is how long-established plays are arranged to reflect current styles.

"Kanadehon Chushingura," performed as March's main attraction at Kabukiza Theatre in Ginza, is one of Kabuki's three masterpieces. Based on a real incident from the Edo period, it features compelling sword fight scenes and human drama interweaving various emotions.
