Tips and recommendations by our official guides

Experience Tokyo like never before on the Asakusa Kimono Photography Tour! Get dressed in a beautiful kimono or yukata (seasonal), professionally fitted by experts—plus a hair styling service included for women. Your English-speaking photographer is also your local guide, ready to show you around and snap stunning photos as you stroll through the most picture-perfect spots in Asakusa: the famous Kaminarimon Gate, colorful Nakamise Street, a five-story pagoda, hidden Japanese gardens, and even a rooftop with a view. After your tour, you’ll receive 20+ edited photos by email within just three days—easy, fun, and totally Instagram-worthy!

Asakusa is one of Tokyo’s most historic neighborhoods, centered around the iconic Sensoji Temple, founded all the way back in 628 AD. The area blends tradition and modern vibes—retro shopping streets, old-school snack shops, and the futuristic Tokyo Skytree in the background. Walking around in a kimono here feels like stepping into a different era. It’s not just sightseeing—it’s a full-on cultural experience with memories you can take home in photos.

This tour is perfect for anyone who wants to explore Tokyo in style while getting gorgeous photos along the way. Whether you’re with friends, a partner, or your family (yes, we have kid-sized kimono too!), this is an easy and exciting way to make your trip extra special. For men, we can also prepare hakama (like samurai!) upon request—just let us know when booking.

Solo travelers? Totally welcome—many guests come on their own and have a great time! Worried about kimono sizing? Don’t be. Women's kimono comes in one flexible size that fits a wide range of body types much better than Western clothing. Still unsure? Feel free to ask us in advance. Let’s make your Asakusa adventure effortless, authentic, and full of amazing memories.
