Shop at near-by supermarket with locals! Then, let’s raise a toast! Now, we begin cooking.

This cooking tour starts with a visit to a local supermarket frequented by Japanese locals. Enjoy shopping, while learning about the distinct characteristics of Japanese supermarkets and how locals choose their ingredients, guided by a local expert. You’ll walk with the guide for about five minutes from Iriya Station to the cooking studio. Once you arrive, we’ll toast with your chosen drink and start cooking! First, we’ll prepare two healthy dishes: a refreshing daikon salad with the tangy and salty flavor of pickled cucumber (shibazuke) and Japanese seasoning, and a smashed cucumber salad that’s quick to prepare and pairs perfectly with any alcoholic beverages. The tour price includes up to 5 cups of drinks per adult, so you can start your next drink whenever you like.

You can master beloved Japanese home-cooked dishes and the art of making teriyaki sauce

Simmered eggplant with sesame miso sauce and Dashimaki Tamago (Japanese omelet) are beloved home-cooked dishes in Japan. Each region has its own characteristics, and Japanese people take pride in their "taste of home." You can choose to either cook with the guide or enjoy watching the guide prepare the dishes one after another, according to your preference. For the teriyaki chicken balls, we'll make the teriyaki sauce from scratch. All the recipes will be given to you after the tour, so you'll be able to recreate the delicious teriyaki sauce at home!

Hand-rolled sushi will have you feeling thoroughly satisfied!

This tour features hand-rolled sushi as the main dishe. Hand-rolled sushi is a versatile dish that everyone can enjoy, from children and teenagers to adults and seniors, regardless of their taste preferences or appetite. It’s a staple in Japanese gatherings and celebrations because it brings people together around the table for a fun and shared experience. Let’s also toast to our time together and the wonderful experiences we’ve shared today!
