Tips and recommendations by our official guides
Hi my name is Hikaru Sunagawa. Im from Okinawa.
First of all, I have many hobbies, and one of them is drinking with friends at izakaya (Japanese style pubs)!
When I was abroad and living in Canada, I always got together with friends on the weekends to enjoy Canadian food and drinks. The experience made me realize how unique not only the Japanese food culture is, but also the Okinawan food culture is.
At that time, I became self-aware and proud that I am Okinawan.
Most people think of Okinawa in terms of the blue ocean, beaches, and endless beautiful sky, but Okinawa has many other attractions and cultures as well.
Okinawa, where I grew up, is a land that has built its own culture since ancient times. Although it is part of Japan, it was once a country called Ryukyu. It has traded with China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asian countries for a long time and built its own culture. It is my hope that you will actually see, experience, eat, drink, and taste things coming from Okinawa and Ryukyu.
The most attractive part of this tour is the sanshin (Okinawan traditional instrument) LIVE performed at the climax of the tour.
With its unique cultural background, Okinawa has given birth to many musicians today. The Magical Trip team has carefully selected bars, food, drinks. Please enjoy Okinawan music for this special evening.
Many people may think that there are few places to go out at night in Okinawa. That is true, it is difficult for tourists alone to find places where local people are having fun. But with a guide I can take you to the real nightlife of Okinawa! If you are vegan or have food allergies, don't worry, I will help you.
The tour is small group so you can enjoy it as if you are going out with your friends!
You can join as a solo, with friends, as a couple, or with your family!
The local people are also very friendly! As the word ""uimar"" means in Okinawa, once you are there, you are all family! Let's create fun nightlife memories together!
What's included
Toast with a local guide and a beer! Enjoy delicious local food!
The tour starts in front of Naha "Tembusu-kan", the central part of Naha Kokusai-dori. Go through the center of Kokusai-dori and Capture the some nice shots of the history of Kokusai-dori! If the timing is right, a parade and other events will be held, so you may be able to take some great photos. Then head to the first izakaya. Toast the start of your tour with Okinawa beer and good local foods! (Other drinks are of course available, too!) There's also a Habu-shu which is Habu snake liquire, so if you're brave enough, join your guide for a taste of the unique drinking experience here!
Sneak into a deep back alley from Kokusai Dori Street! Enjoy the chef's specialty course meal and all-you-can-drink local sake!
From the busy Kokusai-dori Street, go into the back alleys! Unlike the main street, it will be less crowded, so it will be difficult for travelers to reach it alone. At the second izakaya you see as you proceed, you will be able to taste a special course meal prepared just for us by the chef. Let's toast with a delicious meal unique to Okinawa and a special drink known only to the locals.
Cheers to drinks, food and dancing! Go further inside of the street! Unmatched at first glance, but comfortable. A deep atmosphere and liveliness that can only be felt here.
We'll stop at the izakaya at the end of the tour and enjoy Okinawan music with a local meal! "Is this really Japan?" Okinawa has a unique culture, one of which is music! Enjoy the Okinawan night life in a way that even Japanese tourists don't know how to enjoy! When you hear Okinawan music you won't be able to help but start dancing!
